Cleaning and immediately drying your tools after use will prolong their appearance. Mild soap and water can be used to remove dirt and substrate. We recommend avoiding harsh cleaners like bleach that may damage metal components. Storing your tools indoors will further preserve their appearance and uphold their functionality over time. We design our tools with ergonomics in mind. Our shovels and striking tools are available in two main handle styles, classic fiberglass and heavy-duty ErgoPower®. Each handle style has multiple grip options that provide comfort and help reduce fatigue.
We use fiberglass as the primary material in our classic and ERGO POWER® handles. Wood handles are available for several products including our line of fire axes. We use heat-treated steel blades for our entire line of digging tools except for our composite scoops and non-conductive tools. Our striking tool heads are made with a variety of rubbers, brass, copper, and steel. The steel used in our striking tools is heat treated to reach target hardness ranges that follow the Rockwell C scale (HRC) and vary depending on the intended end user application.
Yes, we offer multiple striking head weights for each line of striking tools we produce. Please download our catalog for more information.
